Kiss Me Deadly Release Two Collections for Autumn/Winter 2010

Kiss Me Deadly announce the release of their two vintage inspired collections. Made in the UK, a selection classic girdles and suspenders, all shot in the film noir style as befits their name. Limited editions for the season are all shown as a twist on the role of women during the war, with 40's and 50's styling - perfect for the Autumn trends.

"I mentioned the war once, but I think I got away with it."

Looking back at the 40s, it's easy to think of the war years as a glamour-free zone, all dungarees, knotted hankies on heads and land girls in functional tweeds and chunky knits. But i women's coats t only takes a glance at photos of people on a night out to the cinema, a dance or a dinner date to realise how wrong that impression is. There may not always have been a steady supply of nylons, and lipstick may have been home made, but with the smouldering likes of Joan Fontaine and Katharine Hepburn onscreen, no woman worth her salt was going to look any less than glamorous!

Kiss Me Deadly's 2010 limited edition range is influenced not just by British women's determination to look glam under fire – even girls on public information posters showed off perfect makeup – but also a period in history where women first truly started making their mark in what was previously a man's world. Not just keeping the wheels of industry working in factories and offices, but also in intelligence, the armed forces, even showing the nerves of steel required to be a secret agent in enemy territory. It was also a turning point in bra development, as two were supplied as part of women's uniforms!

Colourways for this season include sophisticated gun metal platinum and moody, seductive midnight blue – perfect for nights out on the town, or even for wearing under business wear for undercover glamour. The platinum finish features in the previously sold-out Sirena style, while the blue is the latest colour to adorn the perennially popular Alouette range. The other big fabric for the season is a fun but stylish satin print featuring a range of beautifully drawn items from shoes and flowers to powder compacts, in a contemporary take on a retro 40s style. This fabric is used for an all new longline bra, girdle, reversible knickers and two styles of 6 strap suspender belt. All of the printed lingerie items are made in Great Britain, as is our new teddy – available in black or peach.

These new limited edition items will be released at a rate of one or two styles per month in the run-up to Christmas, with retail prices ranging from ?15 to ?40 per item.

"Keep away from the windows. Somebody might ... blow you a kiss. "

Kiss Me Deadly – Classic Suspenders and Girdles made in the UK!

They always say that blondes have more fun, that the good girls always come out on top, and well, that's just a lie, isn't it? If you've ever seen a sultry femme fatale like Barbara Stanwyk or Rita Hayworth, beautifully poised, totally in control, and wrapping some poor silly man round her little finger, you just know she knows how to have a better time than some simpering 'nice' girl.

Kiss Me Deadly lingerie celebrates the femme fatale in all her stylish glory, with lingerie that perfectly reflects the poised, sculptured look of film noir's most attractive, vampish women, and fits perfectly with so many outfits, from your smartest contemporary business-wear to a fun 40s retro look.

The Kiss Me Deadly permanent range encompasses a wide range of girdles and suspender belts, all made in the UK, covering a range of styles and all with a tailored feel and a sexy, dangerous edge.

The pieces range in price from ?25 to ?40, and each item comes in a six garter tab style, with all metal fastenings throughout, for longer-lasting style, and suspense you can rely on. The styles are shown worn with Cervin pure nylon 50s style stockings, available in both classic and fabulous fashion shades. The roll-on girdle is also available in blue or pink, to match Cervin's seamed and contrast top stockings.

Kiss Me Deadly recognise that many women feel comfortable in vintage styles, and seek out contemporary clothing that hearkens back to the 40's and 50's. But while the kitsch, colourful pin-up look is great for some, others prefer a more sophisticated, sleek look with an edge. Kiss Me Deadly specialise in femme fatale glamour, with many limited editions and colourways available for one season only, to guarantee exclusivity to our customers. All our items come with metal garter tabs, for all day suspense, and modern fabrics, for an easy, comfortable fit that will adapt to pretty much any body-shape.

Kiss Me Deadly styles are available at their website or through a range of stockists worldwide.

The eco friendly and socially responsible clothing line is sourced from pre-consumer textile scraps and post-consumer plastic bottles in an innovative approach to textile design.

Gia Machlin, Founder and CEO of EcoPlum said, "We are so excited to be working with Mark Heiman and Alan Brown and their team at Tulong to launch Repair The World? apparel in our EcoShop. Reparel? = recycle + apparel clothing is made with recycled cotton from pre-consumer colored fabric scraps and recycled polyester from post consumer plastic bottles. By using recycled color cottons, no new color dyes are used. The Sloungewear? line uses the same unique textile process to provide ultra comfortable apparel for a relaxed, or active, lifestyle. The company requires certification of raw material sources, minimizes its impact on the environment, and promotes fair labor practices.

"Mark is a patent-holder and recognized leader in sustainable textile design and apparel, with over 30 years' experience", added Gia Machlin.

EcoPlum, a green shopping rewards site and eco-information destination for green lifestyles, selects products for its EcoShop with recognized eco-labels or clear recycled content. Chic sustainable clothing and accessories have been available on EcoPlum for some time, but Repair the World? is the first clothing line on the site made from recycled materials.

Changing lifestyles, and attitude towards fitness outerwear, are dictating fashion trends with women exhibiting a proclivity towards fashionable workout wear. Growing emphasis on versatility, convenience, fashion, comfort, style, and performance is creating a strong demand for sports and fitness apparel, which offer both functional performance, and style appeal. Upscale product innovations presently in vogue are low-rise yoga pants, bright colors, and embellished T-shirts. Given the tendency to associate sports and fitness apparel with health, and well being, the spotlight is presently on the type of fabric used in sports and fitness wear. Backed by growing awareness and astute consumer attention to the fabric used, performance fabrics such as, lightweight, breathable micro fibers, and micro fleece fibers, are rising in popularity and demand. New generation fibers with moisture management features are expected to drive demand for contemporary sports and active outdoor wear.

Earth Day Special Report: Green Singles Find Love Online

There's some sexy correspondence happening between eco-savvy singles on a popular green dating site, http://www.PlanetEarthSingles.com. Conversations may include his steaming hot composting methods and her choice of eco-consc women's coats ious clothing made from bamboo and hemp. There is a new "sexy" on the rise and it has nothing to do with how much money he makes or how "hot" she looks. It's more about the size of his carbon footprint and how she turns off the water while shaving her legs.

Why is this burgeoning group flocking to online dating sites like Planet Earth Singles? Global warming, air pollution, water pollution, radiation poisoning and overpopulation are strongly influencing many people's priorities, including the type of person they want to meet and marry. There is a growing trend of single environmentalists searching out eco-savvy partners on the Internet. Janet Ingraham, a member on Planet Earth Singles says, "It's not so easy to ask if he recycles and buys locally grown, sustainable organic food while standing in line at the Post Office, so being able to easily find environmentally conscious men all on one site is very efficient!"

Niche online dating sites like Planet Earth Singles attract only eco-conscious singles, so the pool of members has already been "screened" just by the nature of the site. As a member, one can use specific search criteria to narrow the field of potential candidates and zoom in on those that are truly good matches. For example, one can search for non-smoking, politically liberal, conscious/spiritual, vegans.

Launched on Earth Day, 2006, Planet Earth Singles has grown quickly, proving the increasing popularity and growing demand for eco-friendly dating sites. From hard-core environmentalists to the Prius driving commuter, they all have one thing in common; the members consider themselves "green singles" looking to meet the same. On Planet Earth Singles, various members' professions include teachers, humanitarians, corporate types, massage therapists, authors, healers, activists, doctors, business owners, environmental engineers and social workers. Members can be found in almost every country with the highest concentration in the United States, followed by The UK, Canada and Australia. There are more women than men on the site with the majority falling between 28 to 67 years old.

Jill Crosby, owner and founder of http://www.PlanetEarthSingles.com, an environmentalist, says she is touched by the moving success stories flooding in weekly. Surprisingly enough, many of these success stories are from people that live in different locations, sometimes even different countries. Crosby states, "Because the site offers videos, in-depth "conscious" essays, instant messaging, a comprehensive compatibility test and a risqué Sexual IQ (Intimacy Quotient), the members practically know each other before corresponding via email or talking on the phone. Once they meet in person the sparks of new love are likely to fly."

The Conscious Dating Network, Crosby's company, has recently launched http://www.ConsciousEvents.com, an events website where event promoters and facilitators can list their events, retreats, workshops, travel trips, drum circles…etc. These events are promoted to the over 60,000 singles in the Conscious Dating Network. Crosby says the response from members and event promoters has been incredible.

Award winning plus-size clothing retailer evans has a new look for Autumn – the mod collection. Inspired by the mods of the 1960s, the clothing range includes tailored dresses, knee-high boots, smart cardigans and stylish jewellery.

As women start to think about back to work and back to school the mod collection consists of formal day wear, which is perfect for the office or smart evening occasions.

Magnifeco.com, the Daily Eco-fashion Blog Featuring Products that Are Fair-trade, Sustainable, Organic, Recycled, Vintage and/or Vegan, Turns 3!

When founder and editor of the daily eco-fashion blog http://www.Magnifeco.com, Kate Black, saw ethical fashion emerging as a trend in 2008, she realized that, although ethical and sustainable designers were making efforts to clean up fashion, conscious consumers were still having trouble finding them. She started the daily eco-fashion blog to highlight those designers and promote their efforts.

Things have changed dramatically in the past three years, notes Black. Not only are consumers becoming more aware of the ethical issues within fashion's supply chain, more and more companies are designing, producing, and selling 'ethical fashion.' Even celebrities (Liv Firth), models (Laura Bailey, Lily Cole) and actors (Olivia Wilde, Natalie Portman) are staring to support ethical fashion. "I'm excited that more and more people know what 'eco or ethical fashion' is," states Black. "How consumers choose to spend their dollars can sway the industry, so it's been fantastic contribute to consumers' growing desire to spend on ethical fashion." What marks http://www.magnifeco.com/ as truly unique is that every post links directly back to the designer or the retailer so consumers can buy what they read.

http://www.mag women's coats nifeco.com/ has featured 1,111 designers and products from around the world, and is read, 25,000 monthly page views, in 120+ countries. The latest trend, Black shares, is increased readership in the Middle East. "The latest country we've noticed increased traffic from is Saudi Arabia," says Kate "it's exciting to see these trends and watch which designers capitalize on emerging ethical markets."

The future looks bright for ethical fashion, and http://www.magnifeco.com/, looks forward to continuing to support consumers in their quest for ethical fashion. Having launched a companion ethical shopping site, http://www.magnifecoshopping.com/, in September 2011, featuring women's clothing, shoes, accessories and beauty products, Black plans to add men's offerings in the coming month, plus publish an online ethical Holiday Buying Guide. For the coming year: http://www.magnifeco.com/ is planning an exclusive email program that will connect subscribers, with advanced fashion releases and special offers, from their database of over 300 ethical designers.

Editors interested in learning more about eco/ethical fashion, or having Kate's assistance in holiday gift recommendations, are also welcome to contact us.

Phoenix College Embraces Holiday Giving Spirit

It's become a Phoenix College tradition. During the holidays, faculty, staff and students find ways to help those in need and bring some joy and kindness to those less fortunate than themselves.

This infectious spirit of giving has been embraced by the PC community.

This year, the 11th annual Holiday Refugee Family Adoption program organized by the PC English Department adopted 23 refugee families.

"We select families that have been here for a short period of time," said Joseph Kimbuende, an adjunct faculty member in the English Department, who coordinates the annual effort and co-founded the program along with retired PC residential faculty member Pam Rogers. "They need everything you can imagine."

While the effort is focused on the holiday, donations are accepted year-round, he added. "They come empty-handed so they need the basic items of survival, such as cooking utensils, bed sheets, blankets, beds and furniture."

This year, students in Robiz Ozz's English 101 class created a service learning project to raise donations to supplement the adopt-a-refugee-family drive. Students coordinated cupcake and candy sales, raised money, and gathered new and gently used clothing, toys, and household items. And as part of c women's coats online lass competencies, students wrote letters of request, learning logs, learning charters, journal entries, and a final comprehensive essay reflecting what they learned from the project.

In all, students raised about 25 large bags of clothing, shoes, purses, and other accessories, 10 large boxes of children's toys and books, baby clothes, and sundry household items. They also purchased personal hygiene products and made 8 gift baskets that included coupons for free submarine sandwiches ($250 in coupons) and bought over $450 of gift cards to grocery and department stores.

The PC Women's Leadership Group also got the spirit of giving by supporting an overseas platoon of U.S. soldiers. They provided gifts to about 35 soldiers. The gifts ranged from snack foods and canned goods to recreational/leisure items and toiletries. WLG representatives Thelma Martinez, Elena Hernandez, Jennifer Nez and Adelina Armenta joined forces to coordinate the effort.

Other student clubs, such as the Cheerleading team, Black Student Union, Honors, Phi Theta Kappa and others also adopted families and raised donations for those families. Veterans Services joined in collection efforts for the Toys for Tots campaign. Not to be outdone, student-athletes from PC gave almost $500 to the Child Crisis Center for the holiday season.

The First Saudi Female Poet to be Published in the US

The first Saudi female poet to be published in the US, writer and activist Nimah Nawwab is currently on tour in the US East Coast as she addresses issues related to challenges which form the basis for her art and activism, spirituality and women in times of transition in the Middle East. She will combine readings, book signings and lectures at various organizations.

Her newly released book, Canvas of the Soul: Mystic Poems from the Heartland of Arabia, published by Tughra Books, encompasses poems of fiery love and peace from the spiritual heartland of Islam composed by a modern-day female poet descended from a long line of Meccan (from Mecca) scholars.

Reflecting the pulsing, indivisible bridge of the works of great Sufi mystics and poets to modern times, these spiritual pieces recall the beloved works of Rabi'ah Al 'Adawiyyah, Rumi and Hafiz. Drawing on a rich religious legacy and led by the Sufi tradition seeking Unity, the poems cover aspects related to spirituality and present-day challenges. The inspiring combination of the traditional and modern in these compositions will touch the inner souls and captivate the hearts of those interested in Higher Love in these turbulent times of transition and frantic search for peace.

Nawwab's book tour includes lectures and book signing at Middle East Institute, Washington, DC(April, 26); Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University (April 30); East-West institute, Chicago, IL (May 16); The Brecht Forum/ASMA, New York, NY (May 22); and Book Expo America, New York, NY (June 5).

Author Bio:
Nimah Nawwab is a poet, writer, photographer, lecturer and activist in Saudi Arabia. Born to a scholarly Meccan family, she has been dubbed a "voice for Arab women and youth." She often works with established and emerging filmmakers, musicians, calligraphers, and artists of various genres through mentorship projects. Nawwab's best-selling book and work have been featured in numerous media outlets including BBC World News, Newsweek International, MSNBC the Japanese Yomiuri Shimbum, GEO France, India's Asian Age, Malaysia's Berita Harian, Britain's Hello magazine, as well as numerous Arabic media.

Reviews

The voice of a female Saudi Arabian poet expressing her deep spiritual yearnings in Sufi- inspired poetry is indeed a rare but also precious experience amidst all the din of strife and anger that surrounds so many Muslims today. This voice recalls that Islam emphasizes not only Divine Justice but also Divine Mercy and that the Blessed Proph women's jackets et reflected not only Divine Majesty (Jalal) but also Divine Beauty (Jamal), the latter possessing a female dimension that is so evident in classical Sufi poetry. The present book is significant in that it reflects something of that classical expression of spiritual beauty in a contemporary language expressed by a female poet who hails from the land where the Blessed Prophet was born, carried out his prophetic mission and died.
-Seyyed Hossein Nasr

"Nimah is a talented writer and poet who isn't afraid to speak her mind and address issues that, quite frankly, are often ignored as a result of timidity. I commend her efforts in this noble initiative where the arts combine in powerfully written poetic compositions and a showcasing of Islamic arts."

  • Sami Yusuf

Nimah's poems unfold the living landscapes, the horizons that hold the signs spoken of in the Qur'an, the calligraphy of the mountains dipping into the desert, the inkwell of God's words, reflecting the signs before us into the secrets within the Book of Man.
-Shems Friedlander

After crafting his first pair of Edwin jeans in 1961, the brand has grown to become the behemoth that it is today. Glass Boutique has hand picked an essentials collection for their customers, consisting of heavy sweatshirts, melange jersey tees and the classic ED-55 and ED-71 jeans styles.

Civil War Encampment & Reenactment Weekend to Take Place in Angelica New York

Now in its fifth year, Angelica's Civil War Re-enactment attracts thousands of visitors and hundreds of re-enactors who, through living history demonstrations, re-enactments of actual Civil War battles, and spontaneous interactions with visitors, help the audience understand more fully certain facets of C fashion jackets online ivil War life. And it isn't always pretty.

Visitors will experience history coming alive when they visit the military camps, where the re-enactors are happy to describe their life as a Union or Confederate soldier. The doctor in the medical tent can tell you how surgery was performed, illnesses cured (or not), and wounds tended in the heat of battle. The laundress can describe the methods used to wash clothes in camp, and cooks will show you what's in the pot for dinner.

New Activities: New this year is a living history presentation by Jack Maples portraying Confederate General Montgomery Corse, an anti-slavery Confederate. In this portrayal we learn about General Corse's relationship with Robert E. Lee. Maples will also be selling his book, Reconstructed Yankee, which is locally relevant: the story of the book ends in the old village of East Rushford (now under Rushford Lake). Mr. Maples' presentation takes place on Saturday at 10:00 am and 11:00 am in the Angelica Grange Hall on Park Circle.

Also new this year is a re-creation of the Richmond Bread Riot by the civilian component of the re-enactors. The Richmond Bread Riot was an uprising of women in Richmond, Va., over the inflation and food shortages experienced by the South during the war. It is an often-overlooked event in history education. This re-creation will take place on historic Main Street at 10:00 a.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. Sunday.

A Catholic Mass celebrated by Father John will take place on Sunday at 9:00 am in the Grange Hall, to be followed immediately by a Civil War-era church service conducted by the Rev. John Hogan, who is returning to present his authentic service again after an absence of two years.
Concert: Sunday's activities will culminate at 2:30 p.m. in Park Circle with a very special musical presentation by two premier ensembles from Houghton College in Houghton, N.Y. The Houghton College Philharmonia and the Houghton College Choir will perform patriotic and Civil War-era music, interspersed with readings from and about the period. The program will end with a performance of "The 1812 Overture" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, replete with church bells and cannon fire, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Napoleon's retreat from Russia (the event that inspired the famous composition).

The Houghton College Philharmonia with select guest artists from Alfred University, under the direction of Conductor Brian Casey, features approximately 60 members and seeks to expose its audiences to the highest quality music written for string, wind and percussion instruments. The Houghton College Choir, led by Conductor Brandon Johnson, features 75 student singers. For 80 years the Houghton College Choir has committed itself to world-class performances rooted in the sacred a cappella tradition, and has performed in the most renowned concert halls and churches across the U. S. and abroad.

Angelica Farmers' Market: Park Circle will host the popular Angelica's Farmers' Market, with local vendors offering fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and baked goods, plus wine, honey, and artisan wares. Sharing the market for this event will be Civil War-period vendors called "sutlers", plus craftsmen, civilian camps, and traveling exhibits.

Admission, Parking and Shuttle Service: All event parking is at the Allegany County Fairgrounds at Exit 31 on the I-86 expressway, a short distance from downtown. Admission is $2.00 per person [12 and under – free] and includes a souvenir booklet and all-day shuttle service.

To enhance the safety of holding this event in Angelica's Historic District, the Angelica Village Board has authorized the closing of Main Street to vehicular traffic and to parking from High Street to Peacock Hill Road, beginning Friday, September 21, at 6:00 p.m. and ending Sunday Sept. 23rd at 4:00 pm. Detours will be established to re-route traffic.

History: One hundred and fifty years ago, men from Allegany County and the surrounding area gathered at what is now known as the "Parade Grounds" in Letchworth State Park. In 1862, it was known as "Camp Williams" and served as the mustering point for over 1,000 of these men, who became the 136th New York Volunteer Infantry. They marched forth from that camp to the places we've all read about in history texts -- places with names like Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the Siege of Atlanta and Sherman's March to the Sea.

Boy Scouts and Re-Enactors: This year on September 22-23, members of the modern- day group who recreate those men and women of the Civil War will gather in historic Angelica, N.Y., to teach today's young men about that era. The Western Gate District of the Allegheny Highlands Boy Scout Council will hold their eighth Civil War Camp-o-ree at the Allegany County Fairgrounds.

The camporee has fueled a new interest in Civil War history by the scouts and led to the formation of Crew 7136, a Venturing Crew that re-enacts Company "K" of the 136th New York Volunteer Infantry, which was recruited in Allegany County in 1862. Crew 7136 participates in re-enactment events throughout the region. Dressed and equipped with authentic equipment, they strive to teach history to today's youth through portraying the lives of Volunteer Infantry and civilians during the Civil War.

Approximately 450 scouts and leaders from throughout the region are expected to participate in living history demonstrations of camp life, marching and artillery. Over 350 re-enactors from across the region will make camp right in the yards of willing village homeowners. The Union re-enactors will encamp on properties west of Park Circle, and the Confederate re-enactors will encamp on properties east of Park Circle. From these locations they'll eat, sleep and breathe Civil War-era life. Dressed in period costume, they'll battle blue against grey complete with cannons, muskets, and epithets. Capping off the weekend, the scouts will observe several skirmish re-enactments put on by the re-enactors, and then participate in a mock battle of their own, using imitation muskets and gaining valuable insights into Civil War life.

Weekend Event Schedule:

Friday, Sept. 21:
9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Education Day

Many of the re-enactors come to Angelica and set up their encampments a day early, to welcome more than 400 8th grade students from schools across the county who are on field trips to learn more about Civil War life. Residents are also invited to visit these living history stations.

Vail, Colorado Vacation Rentals Company Owner Tim Parker Recommends Top Local Fall Attractions

Colorado's fall colors are some of the most vibrant anywhere. Taking a scenic mountain drive through an aspen forest is one reason to spend a few days in Vail during early October.

Vail Restaurant Month is another. More than 50 events are scheduled every day through October 14. Star chefs, singular dining experiences, wine and beer tastings, health/wellness/spa packages, romantic getaways, family fun, seminars, chef demos, recipes, family cooking experiences, last minute Vail lodging packages, fashion trunk shows, art gallery receptions, celebrity author readings and book signings, outdoor adventures, and many more special and one-of-a-kind activities happening this fall in the world's most beloved mountain destination.

And Vail Snow Daze is a third reason to visit. This is Vail's 50th winter season and the kickoff December 10 through 16 features live concerts with Wilco, Michael Franti & Spearhead and The Shins. Tickets are available online.

What Fall Color Viewing Drives Do Vail, Colorado Residents Use Most?

Tim Parker, owner of Vail vacation rental company Gore Creek Properties has been traveling Vail mountain roads for more than 16 years.

"These are the routes I use to get out of town and see the large clusters of aspen groves. Don't forget your camera," Parker said.

  •     Vail Mountain and East Vail
Trails such as Berry Picker on Vail Mountain and the North Trail, which parallels I-70 along the north side of the highway, offer beautiful golden aspens and panoramic mountain views. East Vail trails good for fall color viewing include Bighorn Creek, Booth Creek and Gore Creek.

  •     Battle Mountain and Tennessee Pass
Take Interstate 70 to U.S. Highway 24 at Minturn and head south along this scenic byway. On the ascent up Battle Mountain toward Red Cliff, the aspens have turned brilliant shades of yellow and orange, with the occasional reds scattered throughout.

  •     Upper Red Sandstone Road
On the north side of I-70 in Vail is Red Sandstone Road, which leads to some quick and close fall colors viewing. The road is bumpy and a slow ride in a car, and there will likely be heavy traffic both from cars and mountain bikers.

  •     Beaver Creek and Edwards
Beaver Creek Village and Bachelor Gulch offer access to both hiking trails and scenic drives through aspen groves. East Lake Creek in Edwards is also a good trail for viewing mid-valley aspens.

  •     Eagle
A drive down Brush Creek Road, south of Eagle, toward Yeoman Park or Sylvan Lake State Park is full of colorful hillside views of aspens.

Cool Chick Shops In Vail

"The wives always want to know the cool shops in the area that sell clothing for women and girls, usually women's jackets as soon as they check in," Parker explained. "Right now, before the ski season, there are some great shops that have unique styles and fun clothes for everyday wear or for special occasions. It really is a fun trip to explore these shops and have another adventure, aside from your fall walks or restaurant explorations," Parker said.

How to Warm Up and Cool Down During the Personal Training Session

A warm up

Our general tendency is to attach greater importance to the core part of personal training and ignore the most vital element of conditioning our body, just before starting and finishing any fitness regime.

Most of us tend to overlook the need for conditioning our bodies to meet the tough requirements of any exercise plan. A warm up is the most essential part of any workout program or personal training.

The core part of any personal training is to equip the muscle tissue and the joints for a workout session. This is essential for preventing any kind of injury to the body and enhancing the effectiveness of a workout program to see some amazing results.

Here are the top 5 reasons for having a good warm up routine as part of your personal training session:

-Ability to improve your heart rate and breathing pattern as much as your workout rate.

-Enhances blood flow to the muscle and boosts oxygen and blood flow required during a workout.

-Increases body temperature and enhances flexibility of the muscles.

-Helps in lubricating the joints to give maximum flexibility at the time of a workout session.

-Equips you mentally to meet the tough challenges of a strenuous fitness program.

At the time of warming up, it is necessary to ascertain that all the major muscle groups and joints used in the workout are triggered. There are different ways of doing a warm up such as walking and jogging activities for conditioning your body. You can always begin the main workout by exercising at a slower pace and by including low resistance level to boost the warm up process.

As part of an effective warm up routine, it is important to include light stretching of all the major muscle groups that may be used in the majority part of the training session. Stretches can be divided into two main categories that include dynamic and static stretching. It is very easy to integrate dynamic stretches into a warm up routine as they involve cyclic movements of the specific muscle groups. On the other hand, static stretching must be done only after finishing a warm up routine. In fact, stretching before a workout can lead to muscle tissue tear causing injuries and even prevent you from doing exercises for a short period of time.

The time taken to do a warm up routine may vary from each individual depending on their individual needs and the intensity of the personal training session. Generally, a warm up routine may take anywhere ranging between 5 to 20 minutes but for professional athletes, it may take longer to warm up their bodies.

Whenever you plan to begin your outdoor or gym workout session, get ready to move your heart rate up and keep your muscles and joints flexible to kick start your personal training workout.

A cool down

Usually, for most of the people, the normal routine after completing their fitness session is to take a shower or casually relax. However, it is important to remember that a cool down session is equally important for the body to get well settled after a personal training session. Here are the three main reasons for why we need a cool down routine after a good exercise routine:

-Helps in slowly bringing the heart and breathing rate to a normal level.

-Cuts down risk of dizziness.

-Decreases muscle soreness and brings down effects of fatigue.

It is very common to have a higher heart rate especially after a rigorous personal training session, sometimes as high as 80% of the maximum heart rate. Hence, it becomes important to bring your body back to the normal resting heart rate to minimize the risks associated with getting blackouts or experiencing light-headedness.

A cool down routine can assist in reducing muscle soreness after completing a fitness program and ascertain that the main muscle groups involved in the exercise get a solid workout. It also ensures good stretching of these muscles to enhance their range of motion due to the result of a strenuous physical activity.

Thus, a cool down routine can be divided into the 3 major categories:

-Subtle exercise targeted specifically to bring down the heart and breathing rate.

-Overall stretching of all the major muscle groups included in the exercise plan.

-Replenishing the body and improving energy levels.

You can do light exercises at a slow pace and get along with your exercise plan and both walking and jogging can be effective in cooling down your body. During this time, both the heart rate and the breathing pattern returns back to a regular state and the risk of dizziness is also reduced to a great extent.

The stretching of major muscle groups can be used to enhance their range of motion after a workout program. Ideally, stretching must be done when the body is still warm and every stretching position can take roughly about 20 seconds to finish and reach the maximum potential. However, the stretching exercises can be continued and repeated to reduce the soreness in the areas of large muscle groups, where it may be still present.

The final step of a cool down women's jackets online process involves rehydrating and boosting energy levels in the body. In the process of the workout session, your body utilizes large amounts of essential nutrients and fluids. Hence, it is vital to replenish your body by having a healthy diet and resume normal functioning of the body after completing a workout.

A cool down routine followed after personal training session can assist your body in functioning to the optimum level during the daytime and keeps you ready for the next workout session as well.
